We are so glad you found us! We are a brand-new Faith-based Skin and Hair Care company, whose mission is to provide the highest quality products that are good for you, don’t break the bank, and make you feel beautiful. 

How we are different from other “clean beauty” skin and hair care brands: 

 

Our Faith:

Our angle on skin and hair care is a bit different. We want to reshape the way having beautiful skin and hair is viewed… not as something we should be prideful about, but rather, as something to give thanks to God for, since we were lovingly and wonderfully made by Him. 

As a faith-based company (we are Catholic-Christian), we strive to put into practice Jesus’ message of “whatever you do to the least of those, you do to me,” by donating a portion of our profits to organizations that feed and house our hungry and homeless brothers and sisters. So, know that whenever you make a purchase, not only are you doing good for your skin and hair, but also for your brothers and sisters in Christ, which we think is pretty sweet. 

 

Our Packaging:

Did you know that there are certain types of packaging labels that contain endocrine disrupting chemicals? And that you probably encounter them daily? When we started our journey towards a healthier life, away from excess chemicals, synthetic substances and the like, we didn’t realize just how frequently we come into contact with these sorts of toxins, even when we are actively trying to avoid them!

Receipts, bottles, jars can all be culprits depending on the material they are made of. Most labels are vinyl-based, and ultimately, not a great option for someone who is trying their best to minimize exposure to toxic chemicals. To this point, we searched far and wide to find the safest, “least-bad,” water and oil-proof label material on the market (we use a BOPP outer sheet on our labels). We want you to feel good about using our products, and that includes handling our packaging. We also package our products in glass, when possible!

 

Our Ingredients:

We are NOT operating as a certified “organic” brand in any way. However, we source our raw materials from suppliers that do have that credential for the vast majority of raw ingredients we bring to you. We would never formulate products to sell with ingredients we would not use on ourselves (and we are pretty picky people!). 

Also, we formulate our products without the need for preservatives. Most of the preservatives used in the cosmetic industry are synthetic, and while there are some more natural options, because of the way our skin and hair care is formulated, we don’t need them. We keep our botanical waters separate from our oils, eliminating the need. Keep our products in a cool, dry location, and away from water, and they should be in good shape. As a side note, because we use a lot of cold-pressed and unrefined oils in our formulas, refrigeration is recommended, but not required, to help extend the life of your products. 

 

Our Prices:

When we began making the switch from commercial skin and hair care products (even shampoo and makeup) we were frustrated at the crazy-high prices out there in the market. It always bothered us that you had to be making a pretty penny in order to comfortably afford some of these items. Well, that is not the case here. We know you work hard for your money, and whether you consider yourself well-off or not, we want our products to be affordable for you. We want you to enjoy products that deliver luxury performance without the luxury price tag.

 

Everyone should be able to afford non-toxic skin and hair care. Everyone. 

 

Ultimately, Pure Way of Life is run by people who care about people. We’ll probably never see you face to face, but know that we have crafted these formulas with you in mind and hope they are exactly what you’re looking for.
